The President:
Pablo Campana

Pablo Campana is a 50-year-old Ecuadorian entrepreneur, graduated in commercial engineering with a focus on International Business and Marketing from the Universidad del Pacifico. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from the IDE Business School, and has a diploma in “Business, International Relations and Political Economy” and another in “Real Estate Economics and Finance” from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

He is married to Isabel Ma. Romero Noboa and they have 4 children: Pablo, Leonardo, Isabella, and Fiorella.

He was a former Davis Cup tennis player from 1990-1997, representing Ecuador in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, reached the third round in the 1996 US Open, and was the South American Champion in 1990. He also participated in 3 marathons (Miami, New York, and Chicago) and 1 full IronMan in Panama City-Florida.

His extensive experience in the business sector has led him to hold various positions, such as CEO of Campana Group; President of Millenium S.A.; General Manager of Pronobis S.A.; Member of the Board of Directors of hotels developed by Consorcio Nobis; and Executive President of Nobis Enterprises in New York and Miami. He also served as the director of Ecuadorian Bottling Company EBC (Coca-Cola), Cia. San Rafael, and Compania Azucarera Valdez. In the infrastructure sector, he was part of the management team that developed a project of more than 8,000 housing units with non-traditional construction systems.

From June 2017 to June 2019, he served as Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment, and Fisheries, promoting a renewed international trade policy that refreshed Ecuador’s image with its main trading partners.

Among his main achievements as a State Secretary are the actions taken during the international tour called “Invest Ecuador”, which attracted great entrepreneurs and investors from around the world to invest in our country and thereby strengthen Ecuador’s economy. He also managed to get the United States to approve the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) and the reactivation of the Trade and Investment Council. He also led the negotiation and signing of new trade agreements with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the United Kingdom due to BREXIT. He also initiated the procedures for Ecuador’s entry into the Pacific Alliance. In terms of investments, he was the main promoter of the Organic Law for Productive Development, Attraction of Investments, Employment Generation, and Fiscal Stability and Balance, issued in August 2018.

As the Minister of Production, he encouraged collaboration with the private sector, which stimulated the development of new investments, the dynamization of the economy, the establishment of development centers, the improvement of the competitiveness of the productive sector, fair trade, job creation, and well-being for the 17 million Ecuadorians.

Since late June 2019, he has resumed his activities in the private sector at Campana Group, where he is developing new real estate projects with Millenium S.A. He is also starting new business lines in the areas of food (All Fields Ecuador), social and single-family housing (Ecuavivienda), factoring (PRO Capital), insurance (CHZ), and real estate management (Ecuinvest).

He also created the “Campana Foundation”, whose objective is to promote social and economic inclusion of priority groups. All divisions of Campana Group work under a philosophy of transparency and always with a vision to contribute to a better world.
